my.earth privacy policy

What we collect

• An anonymous account created on first launch, with no name or email
• Purchase history (via the app store)
• The places you claim and what you build on them, which other players can see
• Names and descriptions you give your places, which other players can see
• Descriptions you write to generate 3D objects, sent to a 3D-generation vendor; the objects and their previews are checked by an AI moderation service before anyone else sees them
• Your visits to and likes of other players' places, used to rank places (players see totals, not who visited)
• Reports and blocks you make
• Usage statistics and crash reports, through Google Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics: which screens and features are used, the device model and system version, an approximate location derived from the IP address, and a random identifier of the app installation. They are not linked to your account and never used for ads. In the EU, the EEA, the UK and Switzerland they are collected only if you agree; anyone can turn them off in the app's Settings
• No device location: the app never reads where you are

How we use it

Only to run my.earth: your account, purchases and results, and the features listed above. Crash and usage analytics help us fix bugs and improve the app. We do not sell your data, do not use it for advertising, and do not track you across other companies' apps or websites.

Who handles it

Google Cloud and Firebase host the app's accounts, data and servers. Apple and Google handle payments; we never see your card. Where a line above names another service, that service receives that data only to do its part, under its own privacy policy.

How long we keep it, and deleting it

We keep your data while your account exists. To have your account and everything stored with it deleted, email us from the address below; we delete it within 30 days. Uninstalling the app does not delete the account by itself.

Children

my.earth is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data. If you think a child has used it, write to us and we will delete their account.
